A Bit About Me

I’m proud to be the founder of Phoenix Global Training Institute, where I bring together decades of experience as a clinician, trainer, and U.S. Army veteran to deliver meaningful, real-world professional development.

My path started in education, where I served as a teacher and principal. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for helping people grow — not just in knowledge, but in confidence, purpose, and connection. Over time, that passion led me to the field of social work, where I earned my doctorate and built a career rooted in clinical expertise, cultural humility, and community healing.

Today, I specialize in designing and delivering trainings that are evidence-based, trauma-informed, and deeply human. My work focuses on supporting diverse communities — including veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, immigrant families, and professionals navigating high-stakes systems like DOT compliance. Whether leading a workshop or providing SAP evaluations, I strive to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered.

What sets me apart? I don’t just teach — I connect. My approach is grounded in lived experience, academic rigor, and a deep respect for the people I serve.
